Time Zones

A TimeZone can be selected in the estimatedTimeOpts parameter of the Routing APIs when you want to set an arrival or a departure time for your trip. The table below shows TimeZone options and their enum values.

New Time Zone Abbreviations in Canada and Hawaii
As of Nov. 1, 2026, several jurisdictions in western and central Canada have stopped changing their clocks seasonally and now observe Daylight Saving Time year-round. These changes are included in the Current release of Trimble map data. (The dataVersion field defaults to Current in API requests.)
The updated data applies the new time zone rules and calculates accurate ETAs and travel times, but time zone abbreviations have not yet been updated. For example, a location observing Alberta Time (ABT) may still be labeled Central Standard Time (CST), even though its time zone offset is correct. Arrival and departure times will match the local time at each stop.
The upcoming abbreviation changes are listed below. Please review your implementation to ensure that changes to abbreviation strings do not cause errors when parsing API responses. See changes below
NOTE: As part of this update, we are also correcting Hawaii Standard time to HST instead of HAST.
